Work with subcontractors

Ask another pro to do part of a job, and approve what they bill you.

1. Open the job and tap Subcontractors, then Ask a subcontractor. Enter their email or phone and what they’ll do.
2. Tick the estimate lines their work covers, and choose whether they see the customer’s name or phone. They always see the job’s address, never your estimate, prices or other jobs.
3. They accept in the app (or sign up from the email) and get a job of their own with you as the customer. They bill you from it, as often as the work goes.
4. Each bill comes to the job’s Subcontractors. Approve it, choosing whether it goes on the customer’s invoice, or turn it down with a reason. Approved bills count in the job’s profit.

Tip: Your account → Subcontractors: show subs to customers (off by default) and set the markup added when a sub’s bill goes on the customer’s invoice. Asked to sub yourself? Your account → Sub work.
